About the Role
- Position: UI/UX Specialist / Designer (WordPress)
- Location: 100% Remote
- Type: Part-Time / Contract
We are looking for a versatile WordPress Specialist / Designer who sits at the intersection of digital design, site configuration, and visual building. Your primary focus will be translating creative UI/UX designs into beautifully polished, functional websites. You will handle everything from plugin ecosystem configuration and page layout design to content architecture and client-facing optimization without needing to build every component entirely from scratch.
Core Responsibilities
- Visual Site Building: Design and build fully responsive, visually stunning website layouts utilizing advanced block configurations and theme frameworks.
- Ecosystem Configuration: Curate, install, and configure core plugin suites (SEO, caching, contact forms, security, and membership or e-commerce extensions).
- Content & Layout Management: Structure site typography, spacing scales, asset menus, and media organization to align perfectly with brand style guides.
- QA & Client Handoff: Test responsiveness, perform basic speed optimization, and organize user-friendly dashboard interfaces for clients.
- Site Care: Manage light content revisions across active environments.
Technical Requirements
- Design & Layout Tooling: High proficiency with design software (e.g., Figma, Canva) and modern WordPress design builders.
- Web Languages: Comfortable writing custom CSS/HTML for styling overrides.
- Ecosystem Familiarity: Proven experience setting up popular plugins, managing SEO data patterns, handling media delivery, and tweaking global theme settings.
- Soft Skills: Excellent eye for typography, alignment, colour palettes, visual balance, and disciplined remote communication skills.
